I am a daughter, a mother, an educator, a theatrical director, and most recently, an artist. I grew up in Dallas, Texas and lived in Denver, Norway, Idaho, Washington, Alaska, and California before moving back to Texas 15 years ago.
I shouldn't be surprised that I am turning to the creation of art; my favorite course at Stephen F. Austin State University was art history. I really enjoy all arts, be they musical or visual or theatrical. Galleries and art museums are two of my favorite haunts. I have a Masters degree in Liberal Arts from SMU. I am very left brained!
DominoWorks came about as a result of my dream in a sleep-deprived state. I dreamt I was painting cityscapes in vivid colors and using dominos for the buildings. I tried it, and the more I worked with the concept, the more passionate I became. Because I have a cockeyed look at life sometimes, I throw in my own brand of whimsy.
I am lucky to have two parents, who are wise, two wonderful daughters, who are patient, and two dogs who love me unconditionally. I also cherish dear friends, as well as a lot of inventive students and ex students, who make me proud.
